Roblox Suddenly Bans a YouTuber’s Account, Here’s Why
United Gaming – The Roblox controversy continues. This time, the target is a YouTuber named Schlep, who claims the platform unfairly banned him. Roblox has a massive player base, most of whom are children, so the move quickly caught attention.
Schlep discovered the ban without warning. The sudden action left his followers questioning why Roblox would take such a step.
The 22-year-old creator posted a video on his channel and shared a screenshot of the ban notice on X. Roblox accused him of three violations: simulating harmful chats with children, requesting personal information, and pushing users to move conversations off-platform. The company said these actions posed high risks to players.
Schlep rejected the accusations. He said his goal was to catch child predators, not harm players. According to him, moving conversations to his Discord server allowed him to monitor chats and gather evidence.
He also claimed Roblox banned all of his accounts, including one he had used for eight years to communicate with suspected predators.
Schlep gave examples of Roblox allegedly ignoring serious threats. One case involved a threat tied to the Las Vegas Sphere, which he said he reported to both Roblox and the FBI.
YouTuber JiDion, who worked with Schlep, posted a video supporting him. In the video, JiDion showed their attempts to expose predators and criticized Roblox’s ban.
The gaming community responded quickly. Hashtags like #BoycottRoblox and #FreeSchlep began trending on X. Many users accused the platform of silencing those trying to protect children.
This is not the first controversy for Roblox. In a previous case, a parent sued the company, claiming their child was kidnapped after meeting someone through the game.
The ban on Schlep has reignited debates over Roblox’s moderation. Critics question whether the platform’s rules truly protect children or simply punish those who try to enforce safety in unconventional ways.
