AdHoc Studio Speaks on the Future of The Wolf Among Us 2
United Gaming – Gamers continue to wonder about the future of The Wolf Among Us 2. Telltale and AdHoc Studio first announced the sequel years ago, yet no clear updates followed. The long silence created speculation that the project might have been canceled.
In an interview with Eurogamer, AdHoc Studio co-founder Nick Herman explained what happened. Herman revealed that the team worked on the sequel for two years after finishing the first season. They wrote a full season, created cinematic tests, and built animations. However, the project stalled, and the studio could not move forward.
According to Herman, AdHoc could not afford to wait without progress. To keep the studio alive, they moved on to develop Dispatch. The shift allowed the team to stay active while Telltale continued handling The Wolf Among Us 2 on its own.
Herman admitted he does not know how much of AdHoc’s original script will appear in the final game. Still, he believes fans would enjoy the version they created if it ever gets released. Despite the uncertainty, Telltale confirmed that The Wolf Among Us 2 has not been canceled.
Although the project remains in limbo, Herman expressed his desire to see the outcome. He believes the story and direction AdHoc worked on would excite fans. His comments suggest optimism, but also underline that the game’s fate depends on Telltale.
Currently, AdHoc is preparing to release Dispatch on October 22, 2025. After that, the studio will collaborate with Critical Role on a fantasy game project. This new partnership shows that AdHoc continues to grow while fans wait for updates on The Wolf Among Us 2.
