United Gaming – After teasing fans for nearly a year, Lenovo finally launched its new handheld console — the Legion Go Gen 2. This updated version brings a more futuristic design and significant upgrades in both performance and usability, making it one of the most exciting handheld gaming devices this year.
Lenovo equips the Legion Go Gen 2 with a vibrant 8.8-inch OLED screen. The display offers a 1920 × 1200 resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate, allowing for fluid, stutter-free gameplay. It also includes VRR (Variable Refresh Rate) and HDR TrueBlack 1000, delivering rich colors and deep contrast for a more immersive experience.

The Legion Go 2 runs on either an AMD Ryzen Z2 or the high-performance Z2 Extreme chip. These processors enable fast boot times, smooth multitasking, and seamless gaming on the go. Users can configure the device with up to 32GB LPDDR5X RAM and 2TB of PCIe Gen 4 storage, with additional expansion via microSD.
Gamers will appreciate how quickly games load and how effortlessly the device handles demanding titles.
Lenovo increased the battery capacity to 74Wh, giving users up to 50% more playtime than the previous model. With better power management, gamers can enjoy longer sessions without worrying about constant recharging.
The Legion Go Gen 2 still includes detachable TrueStrike controllers, a feature that helped the first model stand out. Lenovo redesigned these controllers for better ergonomics and responsiveness. It also kept the kickstand and fingerprint sensor, giving users flexibility and secure access.
Every detail in the design focuses on comfort and control during gameplay.
Lenovo set the starting price at $1,049, with the highest configuration going up to $1,349. While the cost places it in the premium category, the device offers cutting-edge specs that justify the price. Lenovo targets serious gamers who want console-level power in a portable form factor.
In an exciting future update, Lenovo confirmed support for the Xbox Full-Screen Experience (FSE). Starting in 2026, users will enjoy a more console-like interface that improves navigation, memory efficiency, and overall usability with a controller.
